AbleAisle Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of the AbleAisle app for Shopify ("the app"), operated by Martin Walsh, trading as AbleAisle, Newtown Clarke Cottage, Dublin D20 NF86, Ireland ("we", "us"). By installing the app you agree to these terms.
What the app does, and what it doesn't
AbleAisle helps you find and fix accessibility issues on your Shopify online store. It runs automated checks based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA, explains issues in plain English, helps you add image alt text and helps you publish an accessibility statement.
Automated testing cannot find every accessibility issue, and using the app does not make your store "compliant" with any law or standard. The app does not provide legal advice and does not guarantee that your store meets the Americans with Disabilities Act, the European Accessibility Act, or any other law. You remain responsible for your store's accessibility and for any content you publish, including alt text and statements the app helps you create. For legal questions, consult a qualified professional.
Your account and use
- You must be authorised to install apps on the Shopify store you connect.
- You must not use the app to scan websites you don't own or control, or in a way that breaks the law or Shopify's terms.
- Alt text and statement pages are only saved to your store after you approve them. Please review AI-drafted text before saving; it can be inaccurate.
Plans and billing
- The free plan includes one scan. Paid plans are billed monthly in US dollars through Shopify, after any free trial shown at sign-up. Current prices are shown in the app and on our Shopify App Store listing.
- You can change or cancel your plan at any time in the app. Uninstalling the app cancels your subscription.
- Charges are handled by Shopify under Shopify's billing terms. Refunds, if any, are at our discretion except where required by law.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the app available but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change or discontinue features; we'll give reasonable notice of material changes where we can.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or claims arising from your store's content or accessibility. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Termination
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms. Data deletion after uninstall is described in our Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, without affecting any mandatory consumer or business protections you have where you are located.
